Nobody questions it, because it has always been done that way, and because the software that fixes it used to be sold only to those who could afford a licence per head. Not any more.
Who is behind it.
Antonio Aguilar García
Systems administrator specialising in Linux infrastructure, business process automation, and cybersecurity. After years deploying technical solutions, I founded AUREA in Alcalá la Real to bring SMEs the technology previously accessible only to large enterprises.
We deploy open-source software directly on the client's own servers, without per-user licensing fees, ensuring corporate data never leaves private infrastructure.
Three things we do not compromise on.
The data stays at home
Everything we build lives on your server. There is no intermediate cloud where your invoices rest “temporarily”. That is a technical decision and a legal one: it saves you the international data transfer agreements.
We do not charge per head
Per-seat licensing punishes you for growing. With open source you pay for the rollout and the maintenance, and hiring your eleventh employee does not raise the bill.
The maths, with the assumptions on show
When we say 550 hours a year, we also say where the figure comes from: three minutes per document, fifty documents a day, two hundred and twenty working days. If the assumption does not fit you, change the number.
Why from here.
Alcalá la Real and the Sierra Sur are full of family businesses with twenty or thirty employees, solid revenue, and an office still running on ring binders. They are exactly the companies no technology consultancy bothers to visit, because they are a long way from Madrid and the contract value does not cover the travel.
